My sketchbook is the dearest to me, for it documents the brightest and lightest moments of my life. Among the folds, it details my trip around Asia with dear friends, who perhaps have headed for separate journeys in life. Over the past few years, this new direction is more and more apparent. He uses less colors and focuses on the subtleties of the multifarious shades each color hides within itself, employs less redundant and straightforward brushstrokes, and invents creative and flexible compositional structures. Cen hopes to establish an artistic language that neither excludes nor panders to specific demographics, employing universal themes and timeless images which he hopes may bring feelings of hope, love, and positivity of life to all his audiences.

Life has not been easy on Cen Long. Yet, all that doesn’t break him has contributed towards his forward steps, however crooked and piercing such a pavement may be. Existence to him has always been predicated by responsibility—a sense of mission to paint something that illuminates the importance and glory of love.
