Overview

Under the theme “Artistic Creativity, Illuminating Life,” the 15th Beijing International Art Expo was held from August 16 to 20, 2012, at the China World Trade Center in Beijing. Upholding principles of internationalization, excellence, and professionalism, the expo—after more than a decade of dedicated development—has become a major global platform for art transactions and academic exchange.

The 2011 edition received strong support from various sectors of society, bringing together over 80 outstanding galleries and numerous renowned artists from 16 countries and regions. Integrating contemporary and traditional artworks, the expo introduced significant innovations in exhibition presentation.

The event also launched newly curated themed exhibitions, including “The New Eastern Spirit,” showcasing representative works by leading contemporary artists and emerging talents, as well as a special “Contemporary Hungarian Art Exhibition,” highlighting creative outcomes born from the fusion of Hungary’s artistic traditions and contemporary thought. Visitors experienced the innovative “Palm-sized 3D Art Expo” and the visual impact of “cross-spiritual perception,” VR, and AR art. Over five days of exhibition and trading, the expo attracted nearly 30,000 visitors, with on-site sales reaching record highs—greatly energizing art enthusiasts and collectors alike.

At this edition, Han Art presented works by Japanese artist Yasuko Hayashi, a leading figure in contemporary Japanese aesthetics. The exhibited work Tree of the Noon Nap creates an atmosphere of distant tranquility and ineffable mystery. Beyond its rich textures and multilayered spatial composition, the painting draws viewers toward the hidden realms it evokes.

Han Art Agency welcomed visitors at Booth 22 in the China World Trade Center exhibition hall and invited all art lovers to join and share in this vibrant event.
