Matteo Casali Caramello was born in 1994 in Schio, Italy. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2022, where he primarily focused on painting while also exploring sculpture, photography, and video art. He currently lives and works in Venice and serves as the curator of the NOTSpace virtual collective. He has received several awards in art competitions, including the 2022 Padova Start Award, and his work has attracted attention from galleries and art critics throughout Italy.

Matteo’s painting is figurative and emotionally expressive. Influenced by masters such as Francis Bacon and Edvard Munch, his work captures the loneliness and inner struggles of individuals in contemporary society, while exploring themes of self-identity and human relationships. At the same time, he has developed a distinctive artistic language of his own, using rapid brushstrokes and expressive color to convey the immediacy and beauty of fleeting moments. The result is a body of work that feels both authentic and poetic.
