The artist’s show in Venice connects the fifteenth century to the modern day

In Invisible Passages-A connection between that which is and that which has always been, the artist Cen Long’s exhibition – curated by Metra Lin and Agata Brusegan at Venice’s Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo – the artist continues his excavation of life’s meanings and values.

In this exhibition, Cen Long’s oil paintings are shown in tandem with two excavated relics from the fifteenth century, a wooden carving of the Holy Mother and Angels, and the crowning masterpiece of the great Renaissance maestro, II Paradiso by Tintoretto (1518-1594).

The show connects the fifteenth century to the modern day shining a light on the constant resurrection of the spirit of purity and grace. Through this conversation between artworks from disparate times, the artist and curators hope to reveal the spirit of art as a bridge between time and space.
