Counter-Trend – A Renaissance of Aesthetic

Recently, trend-focused creations have become the new darlings of the art market. Bright colors, cute protagonists, and whimsically humorous themes offer a comforting balm in these challenging times. However, a placebo only provides temporary relief. The emptiness following the frenzy swallows emotions, and we are fed by the sensory stimulations of industrialized production, becoming a homogeneous and undifferentiated flock. This begs the question: do we truly still need these, even when our lives are already filled with TikTok, Instagram, Netflix, etc.?

Han Art attempts to stand on another side, bringing works that are counter-trend, require emotional engagement, and necessitate reading, hoping to carve out a quiet and slow sanctuary amidst the jubilant noise.
