Cen Long was born in 1957, Guangzhou, China. His signature artistic approach consists of a simple style, sophisticated brushwork, rigorous composition, layered and solid coloring. These techniques engender a strength to his paintings; each piece contains a deeper meanings beneath its various surface qualities. Together, these attributes express values that can withstand the test of time and captivate the imagination. Metra Lin is an art dealer and curator. Deeply moved by the paintings of Cen Long, she has dedicated an extensive period to the study of both his artistic and personal qualities. Establishing the Hann Art Agency in 2009, the agency advocates for art
that embodies simplicity, restraint, and a profound fusion of philosophy and poignant emotions to emphasize the spiritual value inherent in artistic creations. The agency has represented Cen exclusively since 2009.
Candida Syndikus
Candida Syndikus is professor of Western Art History at the Graduate Institute of Art History at National Taiwan Normal University (Taiwan). She earned her PhD in Art. History from the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (Germany) with a dissertation on the Italian humanist, theorist, and architect Leon Battista Alberti (1404–1472). Between 1991 and 2010, she held a teaching and research position at the University of Münster (Germany). In 2006, she earned her Venia Legendi in Art History from the University of Münster with a study on sixteenth-century wall paintings in the meeting houses of the lay confraternities in Padua (Italy). She currently researches and publishes on issues related to art in Renaissance Venice. Candida Syndikus lives in Taiwan and Italy.
